Our Mission
Lake State Alpine Racing strives to make skiing a lifelong sport
To do this we create a safe environment that prioritizes the fun of the racer and teaches transferable skills through best practices of positive youth development programs. Thanks to a large team of experienced coaches, our skiers learn how to ski before they learn to race. Designed for ultimate flexibility, our program's price and schedule reflects our mission to make skiing accessible to all. Racers may ski with the program for several years, move on to high school racing, move to USSA competition, move to freestyle or move to teaching/coaching, however, the ultimate intent is to create lifelong skiers.

Lake State Alpine Racing is the new name for the DTeam at Hyland. We are committed to offering excellent youth skiing programs that combine love for the sport, alpine skiing, and race skills development in a FUN environment with family-friendly competition at local areas.
We offer programs for kids ages 6 to 18 who know how to ski, want to get better, and want to try racing. We also offer adult clinics.
